MPH student Nana Asiedu winning the 2017 Research of the Year Award

MPH student Nana Asiedu winning the 2017 Research of the Year Award (Medicine and Health Sciences Category) from the National Graduate Students’ Association of Ghana. He was selected by a panel of judges who assessed the best graduate student research work in Ghana.
His submission for the award was his MPH thesis project, entitled “Psychobehavioural Factors Associated With Neurocognitive Test Performance In HIV-Positive Persons Attending a Regional Hospital in Accra, Ghana.” His supervisor was Dr. Irene Kretchy.

Nana Asiedu is a Ghanaian-American who came to Ghana after a long absence to complete the MPH degree. During his time in the programme he was assigned to the Social and Behavioural Science Department. After graduating, he now works as a Research Specialist at the University of Wisconsin, in the United States.
