Prof. Moses Aikins now Vice Chair-Elect of GEMNet-Health

At its last annual general meeting held from 23rd – 25th February, 2017 in Cuernavaca, Mexico,  GEMNet-Health elected Prof. Moses Aikins, an Associate Professor at the School of Public Health, as Vice Chair-Elect (Vice Chair and Chair-in-waiting) of the network.

The Global Evaluation and Monitoring Network for Health (GEMNet-Health) is a global network of academic and research institutions in Africa, Asia, Latin America and the United States, formed to foster organizational growth, collaboration, and peer-to-peer support for capacity building in monitoring and evaluation of health programs globally through ongoing and future institutional linkages among members, beginning with a core of MEASURE Evaluation's current and former training partners. MEASURE Evaluation serves as the Secretariat for GEMNet-Health.
GEMNet-Health also aims at South-to-South support for Monitoring and Evaluation of health programs globally.  The aim is for GEMNet-Health to serve as a stable, sustainable, and independent global network for M&E training, technical assistance, and research. The member institutions of GEMNet-Health are: University of Pretoria (South Africa), Addis Ababa University (Ethiopia), Addis Continental Institute of Public Health (Ethiopia), Centre  African  d'Etudes  Superieures  en  Gestion (Senegal),  El  Instituto  Nacional  de  Salud Pública, (Mexico), Mahidol University (Thailand), University of Ghana, Public Health Foundation of India, and Kenyatta University (Kenya). MEASURE Evaluation serves as the Secretariat for GEMNet-Health.
