TDR Global Africa Node Presents Award to Research Mentorship contest Finalist
An award ceremony has been held in honour of Dr. Nsisong Asanga on her emerging as the Finalist in African Region and Joint Global Finalist in the TDR Global Research Mentorship Contest.
Dr. Asanga received a laptop computer, a plaque and support to pilot implement her research mentorship idea. A presentation ceremony was held on Wednesday 17th February, 2021 at the EOC of the Dakkada Secretariat in Uyo, Nigeria. Dr Christie Akwaowo, Director of the Institute of Health Research & Development, University of Uyo Teaching Hospital, Nigeria, represented the TDR Global African Node and presented a plague on behalf of the Node to Dr. Nsisong Asanga. Dr. Akwaowo noted that this was outstanding, of which the TDR Global African Node were extremely proud of and look forward to working with her in future.
In attendance were Prof Enobong Ikpeme, the guest of Honor, the State Epidemiologist besides other doctors and staff of the State Emergency Operations Centre.
