ARTC Satellite Institutions

The ARTC works in collaboration with satellite institutions.  This is aimed at expanding capacity building efforts within the African region and beyond. Currently, the ARTC has two satellite institutions, Mahinca Health Research Centre in Mozambique and University of Health and Allied Sciences, Ho, Ghana


Manhica Health Research Centre (CISM)

The Manhica Health Research Centre is a Mozambican non-profit organization founded in 1996. The centre is one of the leading health research centres in Africa which carries out biomedical research in priority areas aimed at improving the health of vulnerable populations. Additionally, CISM develops key research agendas as well as training of researchers and technical staff. 


University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS)

The University of Health and Allied Sciences is one of the public universities in Ghana which started operation in 2012. The university has two main campuses (Ho and Hohoe) in the Volta region of Ghana. UHAS is primarily devoted to teaching, research and service in the Health Sciences.
