About

I am a broadly trained public health researcher with a keen interest in Occupational and Environmental Health. I specialize in assessing environmental exposures and their potential health effects on vulnerable populations in low-income countries and occupational settings. My expertise encompasses a variety of environmental health issues, including electronic waste pollution, air pollution, water pollution and toxic exposure, climate change, and infectious diseases. I excel at identifying and managing health risks due to environmental factors.

My research interests have expanded to include clinical laboratory sciences and laboratory diagnostics. I conducted a nationwide study that established population-based Ghanaian reference intervals, and I am currently building expertise in clinical laboratory science. Specifically, I focus on establishing population-based and country-specific reference intervals, which serve as widely used diagnostic tools in clinical settings.

Presently, my research centers on the field of clinical laboratory science, particularly examining how environmental and workplace chemicals affect gene mutation. I am dedicated to advancing knowledge in this domain, emphasizing understanding how environmental chemicals can interact with an individual's genetic makeup and potentially influence health outcomes.
