  • Provide mentorship, coaching and supervision for trainees during field placement periods to ensure acquisition of key field epidemiology skills and competencies

  • Provide technical assistance to trainees in preparing their presentations for local and national level dissemination of key findings and recommendations from their field projects

  • Participate in disease surveillance, outbreak investigation and response activities in the Ghana Health Service together with the trained surveillance officers as a means to demonstrate best practices

Coordinator - Field Epidemiologists COVID-19 contact tracing in Ghana, 2020 -2021

  • Coordinated the training and deployment of Field Epidemiologist to conduct contact tracing during the COVID-19 pandemic in Ghana
  • Trained Ghana Health Service staff on contact tracing and on use of SORMAS application for field data collection
  • Assigned Field Epidemiologist to hotspots districts for COVID-19 during the initial response to support DHMT in the developing micro plans, COVID-19 contact tracing and response
  • Coordinated timely collection of samples to the Noguchi Memorial Institute for Medical Research (NMIMR) for testing
  • Coordinated the development of application for effective COVID-19 contact tracing and timely access to COVID-19 test results 
  • Supervised the mandatory quarantine of Travellers following the closure of our boarders
  • Led the development of COVID-19 Sitreps for Ghana FELTP

Epidemiologist for the SCOSA Project (AFENET) – Ghana 2021

  • Led the development of SCOSA sub project “Sero-prevalence and Circulating Variants Of SARS-CoV-2 Among Travelers at Points of Entry, Ghana, 2021”
  • Led the development of project implementation materials and slides
  • Recruited supervisors to support monitoring activities at various ports of entry into Ghana in all boarder regions
  • Recruited and trained Laboratory staff to conduct COVID-19 testing at the various ports of entries
