About

 

Dr Emefa Modey is a public health professional with focus on Maternal and child health, specifically, Family planning, Sexual and Reproductive health and rights and cardiovascular diseases in pregnancy. Her research is related to improving access and utilisation of sexual and reproductive health services and contraceptive use and behaviour among Ghanaian women. She holds a PhD in Public Health and is a Lecturer at the Department of Population, Family & Reproductive Health, University of Ghana. She is also a Honorary Assistant Professor of Epidemiology and Public Health at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. She is faculty on the WHO-HRP Alliance for research and building capacity in Anglophone Africa.
