Dean of the School of Public Health Holds First Interaction Session for the Year 2025 with Faculty, Staff and Students

The Dean of the School of Public Health, Prof Kwasi Torpey has held his first interaction session for the year 2025 with faculty, staff and students. The gathering held on Friday, February 28, 2025, plays a vital role in fostering a positive, inclusive and effective academic environment.
In his initial remarks, Prof. Torpey explained that the occasion provides an opportunity for faculty, staff and students to unofficially interact, emphasising the need for effective communication, collaboration and leadership in promoting the goals of the School.
He further reminded faculty members that they are integral in promoting a culture of academic excellence and collaborative environment where insights are shared to improve teaching strategies, research opportunities and curriculum development.
The Dean also encouraged staff at the School to focus on adopting a supportive, inclusive and efficient working environment that enhances the School’s operational effectiveness. He also reiterated the importance of recognising the hard work of staff in the school.
The Dean assured students that both faculty and staff will continue working together in ensuring a supportive and accessible environment for learning and to help students transition from academia to the professional world.
The meeting also provided an opportunity for a Q&A session.
Also present at the meeting were the School Administrator, Mrs. Emelia Nartey; Heads of the various departments, faculty, staff and students.
