The science of Occupational Hygiene is dedicated to the recognition, evaluation and control of workplace hazards. These include all environmental factors or stresses arising in or from the workplace which may cause illness, impaired health and well-being or significant discomfort and inefficiency among workers or among citizens of the community. Students will spend eight (8) to twelve (12) weeks of the third term in the field attached to a health, manufacturing, mining, agricultural or other relevant work establishment 

Duration: 1 year (12 months)

It is the oldest academic programme in the School and also the most subscribed. The programme aims at producing graduates who will be equipped with knowledge, competencies and skills to address public health challenges; undertake research in the discipline; promote healthy behavior and provide effective leadership.
